  • We charge a flat design fee for furnishings projects based on the scope of work, and charge an hourly rate of $225 for construction, renovation or project management.

  • Our minimum total project cost is $50,000.

  • If you are thinking about a renovation or new build, it is best to hire a designer before construction begins so that they can help you navigate the process and ensure that everything is seamless and efficient. That being said, we are happy to work with you even if your project is already in progress.

  • We believe that creativity breeds joy, your home should delight and inspire you, and a sophisticated use of color is essential.

  • We’ll ask questions, show you inspirational images and examples, let you experience various samples and present you with design concepts that will reveal your preferences without overwhelming you with options.

  • Because we believe your space should be tailored to those living in it, we welcome differing design preferences and enjoy the challenge of melding multiple aesthetics into a completely new design aesthetic.

  • We source from a variety of local and to-the-trade vendors with whom we have established relationships and whose products live up to our high standards of quality. We pride ourselves on our vast knowledge of industry sources, which allows us to curate the best product for your home.

  • We study you and the way you live to determine space layout, traffic flow, future storage / organization needs, the intended use of multi-purpose spaces, and more.

  • We believe that if a design isn’t something you can actually use on a day to day basis, it isn’t luxury. We intentionally source products and design spaces that can withstand children, pets, hosting, temperature variations, and years of enjoyment.

  • As your design firm, our job is to assess your project as a whole and make evidence-based recommendations on how to best allocate both time and budget so that you make the most of your investment.

  • We love to source distinctive artwork for our clients, and have a diverse selection of art sources at every budget level. We especially enjoy working with local artists to commission custom pieces for our clients for that extra special wow factor.

  • Yes, we work with trusted trade vendors to design and fabricate custom pieces for our projects whenever needed. We love designing custom pieces, as this is one of the ways that we can make a space uniquely yours.

  • DLI provides full service design for a minimum of one full room, up to an entire home. We also specialize in renovation, new construction and new builds. For clients needing less than a full service offering we offer a Designer for a Day service. Click here for details about that service.
